Application Architecture
Billit companion app nominated for UX Design Awards
Financial administration, designed for users on the move
Financial administration does not always happen in one quiet moment behind a desk.
For entrepreneurs, SMEs and accountants, tasks such as creating invoices, capturing expenses, tracking time and checking business performance insights often happen on site, on the road, during a busy working day or while switching between different companies or clients.
That was the starting point for the new Billit companion app: a mobile experience designed to make everyday financial workflows faster, clearer and easier to use.
The app has now been nominated for the UX Design Awards in the Product category, recognising the work behind a mobile-first experience built around real user needs and smart AI support that helps simplify recurring administrative tasks.
A mobile-first rebuild
Billit is an e-invoicing and financial administration platform for entrepreneurs, SMEs and accountants. The new companion app was developed with QuietLoud, formerly known as AE Studio, AE’s team responsible for crafting digital solutions with a strong focus on customer experience.
Together with Billit, QuietLoud worked on a new companion app built around one simple idea: quick actions and quick insights.
The project was not a surface-level visual refresh. It was a rebuild of the mobile experience, shaped by user research, product thinking, UX/UI design and engineering.
By looking closely at how users work on mobile, the team focused on reducing friction in key flows such as invoice creation, expense capture, switching between companies and access to business insights.
The result is an app designed to support financial administration at the moments when users actually need it.

Built through close collaboration
The nomination is also a recognition of the collaboration behind the product.
Billit brought deep knowledge of its users, market and product vision. QuietLoud brought an integrated mix of product thinking, research, design, marketing and digital product development.
Throughout the project, both teams worked closely together to turn complex financial workflows into a more intuitive mobile experience.
It is a strong example of how good digital products are built: by combining user insight, product focus and technical execution from the start, and by adapting the work when real user needs become clear.
Recognition by the UX Design Awards
The UX Design Awards recognise outstanding user experiences across products and concepts internationally.
For Billit and QuietLoud, this nomination is a meaningful international acknowledgement of the work that went into rethinking the Billit mobile experience.
Public Choice voting opens on 7 July and runs until 21 August via the UX Design Awards website.
